Here are a few piccies I took on my walk to work on Tuesday. The first is on West Bridge (Decorated with Chaucer’s characters, fave is Wife of Bath), looking at the river and over to Castle Gardens. There was a load of graffiti on the opposite side of the river (the *****) when I took the pic – but, happily, the council had cleaned it all off by the time for my walk home. Which gave me a big cheesy grin.
The next pics are in Castle Gardens and one of Leicester Castle through the trees.
The final one is of Granby Street from Gallowtree Gate. As you can see, the city’s Victorians and Edwardians knew an awful lot about architecture and aesthetics. Try explaining “the blue tower” to them.
